Laundry Renovations in Melbourne
Let's get started
High quality laundry renovations in Melbourne are becoming increasingly popular as homeowners look to make better use of their space and update the functionality of their homes. With the rise of open-plan living and a growing focus on functionality and practicality, homeowners are recognizing the importance of having a well-designed and efficient laundry space.
A laundry renovation can bring a number of benefits to a home. For example, a custom designed laundry with more storage and better appliance can provide improved functionality and organization, making it easier to do laundry, keeping everything in its place, and save time. Additionally, renovating a laundry can also increase the overall value of a home, which is particularly important if the homeowners are planning to sell the property in the future.
What to consider when planning your new laundry renovation
There are several key factors to consider when planning a laundry renovation, including layout, storage, and appliances.
Layout is one of the first things to consider when planning a laundry renovation. Many older homes in Melbourne may have a smaller, cramped laundry that needs more storage and counter space. By reconfiguring the layout, it is possible to create a more efficient space better suited to modern needs. This may involve moving or enlarging the laundry room and installing updated cabinetry and shelving to increase storage.
Another critical factor to consider is storage. Often, laundries need more adequate storage options for cleaning supplies, detergents, and other essentials. One popular option is to install pull-out storage units, which make it easy to access items that are stored at the back of the unit. Including additional cabinetry and shelving makes it possible to create a more organized and functional space.
When it comes to appliances, there are many options available for a laundry renovation in Melbourne. Some homeowners opt for a stackable washer and dryer, which saves space but may require a separate ventilation system. Another option is to install a combined washer and dryer, which is a space-saving solution but can be more expensive.
Our Laundry Renovation Process
During our first meeting, we get to know you, listen to your ideas, and learn what you dislike about your current laundry space and what you wish you had instead.
We want to hear all your thoughts to gain a clear understanding of what you or your family may need. We then measure and photograph your laundry space so that we know what we’re working with. As soon as we have developed a vision for your new laundry renovation, we can get to work and create your new design concept.
Developing the design concept is where we take all those ideas discussed in the initial design meeting and create spaces you will love. We research and brainstorm ideas to achieve a design that exceeds your expectations.
You will be presented with a 3D render of your laundry, whereby we will walk through the design together, making any adjustments required. Once you are ready to proceed, the next stage is the exciting part; we assist you throughout the selection process, selecting tiles, cabinetry colour and finishes, benchtops, tapware and paint colours. Checking product sizes to ensure they are suitable for your proposed design.
Our company showroom has an extensive range of finishes, cabinetry and tiles. It removes the headache of hopping from shop-to-shop and makes it more convenient for our Melbourne-based clients.
This is where creativity and design intersect with planning and construction.
Our designer and our builder will collaborate throughout the project to address any areas that require additional attention. Any final adjustments to the plans will be made, and then detailed drawings and a construction contract will be created. If necessary, building, engineering or planning permit documentation will be gathered and submitted.
Be inspired by our latest creations & please let us know if you’d like some more information on these designs or anything else.

“I highly recommend Simply Bathrooms. Our 1930’s upstairs bathroom was gutted and re-designed to reflect elements of the period but with a contemporary design. The building team, Troy and John, were so impressive: clever, thorough and were perfectionists in the way they worked. All other trades were also excellent. The design team, Mark and Liz, were endlessly patient, enthusiastic and designed a very beautiful bathroom for us. It was such a pleasure to work with Simply Bathrooms as they are people of deep integrity, high professional standards and as a bonus, very lovely people.”
“We engaged Liz, Troy and the team to renovate our main upstairs bathroom. We have a period home which has a lot of original features and the team worked above and beyond to make sure the rest of the house was protected from any upstairs work. We had some complex space and design issues – which they solved well and with excellent consultation. – and their tiler was the best I’ve seen. Liz is a wonderfully collaborative designer who created a classic and timeless retreat for us. Troy is a perfectionist and made sure it was built to his standards. They are a highly professional group who are passionate about what they do. We are looking forward to working with this company again.”
