Synopsis
New bathrooms integrated seamlessly into a warm and welcoming traditional family home.

Client Brief
They are to be pleasant spaces for the family to use but should also appeal to potential buyers in the future. The bathrooms are to be consistent with colour scheme found throughout the rest of the home. The main bathroom is to provide sufficient storage for two teenagers. A wall hung vanity with drawers to include concealed charging spots for devices. A custom wall hung vanity in the powder room to store bathroom products with a dedicated hand towel rail.

Design Statement
As we revised the main bathroom design it became clear that we had some underutilised space in the shower. We used this opportunity to install a custom bench seat. Visual interest was introduced into the shower by selecting a textural tile with a beautiful woven pattern. Limited wall space led us towards an innovative heated towel unit with powerful quick dry functions connected to a programmable timer.

Structural Challenges
The bathrooms are built on concrete slabs with brick walls. The layouts for the rooms were guided by existing bathroom conditions. To avoid any unnecessary building permits or complexity of altering any structural brickwork. This helped to inform the location of the tiled waste grates/drain and shower niche and the recessed mirror cabinet.
