Main Bathroom & Ensuite.

Thirty minutes from the hustle and bustle of Melbourne’s inner suburbs lies leafy Eltham where our clients enjoy the semi rural feel of the area with the Kookaburras singing early in the morning and King parrots adding their splash of colour. Our clients lightly rustic styled home sits well into its beautiful garden.

Clients Brief
Jenny and Larry were wonderful to work with. They wanted their new bathrooms to complement their home. The strongest part of the bathroom brief was the bathrooms were not to look like a hotel bathroom, as that style would be out of keeping with its surrounds.
Both the ensuite and the main bathroom needed a full redesign. The wish list was for larger showers, good storage, and better lighting.

Design Statement
Main Bathroom
Removing the large built-in bath under the glass brick window opened up the floor space creating a highly functional bathroom floor plan. A tall boy and wall mounted vanity and mirrored cabinet provided an abundance of storage.
The level entry shower recess was increased in size and enclosed with a frameless shower screen. Tiled floating shelves provided an area for Jenny to add pots of greenery to the room which finished the room beautifully.

To create privacy a generous level entry shower recess was tucked around the corner so it could not be seen from the bedroom. The rear wall of the bathroom provided a perfect location to create a focal point in the room. A custom-made floor mounted vanity and mirror filled the space perfectly. The blue of the cabinetry complemented the blue feature wall in the ensuite and bought the blue hue out in the floor tiles.
Selecting wall sconces with timber mounting blocks tied in with the timber doors and windows. All the tones of the bathroom’s finishes were carefully considered to ensure they sat well in their environment.
