Greensborough

Tucked into the side of a valley in leafy Greensborough, this 1970s home is gradually being transformed to reflect our clients’ unique sense of style. The original main bathroom, dominated by an oversized in-floor spa and a cramped corner shower, lacked both function and compliance with current building standards.

Our clients envisioned a modern, luxurious bathroom with a wet zone featuring a freestanding bath and generous walk-in shower — a place to unwind, complete with room for candles and a glass of wine. Their request for black wall and floor tiles set the challenge to balance texture, tone, and light.

The sculptural Victoria + Albert Caprizi bath became the hero of the space, positioned to showcase its elegant curves. A tiled nib wall defines the wet area while offering a convenient ledge for bath essentials, with soft floral feature tiles above  breaks up the darker palette. A skylight was installed to cast natural light over the bath, creating a beautiful interplay of shadow and illumination throughout the day.

The spacious walk-in shower features a ceiling-mounted Brodware shower head for a true spa-like experience, complemented by a hand-held shower for versatility. Dark, textural tiles contrast beautifully with the tapware’s polished finishes. Underfloor heating, vertical heated towel rails, and an in-wall toilet cistern enhance comfort and style, while a Victoria + Albert washstand and circular mirrored cabinet provide elegant, functional storage.

Thoughtful lighting layers — from task to ambient and feature illumination — bring warmth and depth, highlighting the floral feature wall and elevating this Greensborough bathroom renovation into a truly luxurious retreat.
