Our clients’ distinguished Victorian-era residence in Malvern holds significant historical appeal. Parts of the homes original details have been carefully preserved. 

Over time, successive renovations had diluted the home’s character, leaving a patchwork of competing styles. Simply Bathroom Solutions sought to revive its Victorian-era essence, reintroducing authentic details through a series of refined and considered design gestures.

Some rooms were exceptionally spacious, providing the opportunity to refine the floor plan and create a more functional and balanced layout. With its excellent scale and strong architectural framework, the home offered an ideal foundation for a renovation that both complemented its heritage and reflected the owners’ personal style.

For our clients, the renovation was a tribute to their home’s heritage—restoring lost details while bringing fresh life to every space. From the grand entry hall to the serene master suite, elegant lounge, and open family living, the home now flows effortlessly between old and new. Upstairs, reimagined bedrooms and bathrooms offer calm, contemporary sanctuaries that honour the home’s timeless charm

Functionality was every bit as important as beauty. Smart storage solutions were a priority, ensuring that behind the elegance of the design lay a home that worked effortlessly for modern family life.

To bring this vision to life, they enlisted Simply Bathroom Solutions for a whole-home renovation. The transformation was ambitious—an oversized main bathroom and laundry were reimagined into a clever new layout featuring a powder room, walk-in pantry, mudroom with drying cupboard, linen storage, and a thoughtfully designed laundry.

At the heart of the home, the new kitchen and family area became an entertainer’s dream. A contemporary fireplace was recast with a stately traditional mantle, while custom staircase rails were designed to echo the craftsmanship of the home’s original period character. Together, these touches wove the rear of the house seamlessly back into the heritage story our clients were so passionate about preserving.

Every element was to be carefully considered—from timber flooring selections and paint colours to natural stone benchtops, hardware, and bathroom finishes. A bespoke lighting plan was also requested, designed to highlight artwork and enhance the atmosphere across the home’s living zones.
