Malvern East Anderson

Located in the heart of Malvern East, this 1980s family home required little more than a thoughtful facelift to transform its dated bathroom into a bright and welcoming space. The existing layout felt constrained, with a small shower, warm cream tones, and a floor-mounted vanity that lacked storage. Our clients — a family of four with two adult sons — wanted a bathroom that felt light, functional, and appealing to guests alike.

Simply Bathroom Solutions reconfigured the layout to create a generous walk-in shower along the bath alcove, complete with a long niche for storage and a single glass screen for an open feel. The curved wall extending from the entry was reimagined as a design feature, now fully tiled in textured Japanese vertical tiles that enhance the room’s architectural character.

A pair of sleek vertical heated towel rails was positioned for easy reach from the shower, adding comfort and convenience. The new wall-hung vanity with deep drawers maximises storage and visually enlarges the room, complemented by a large mirror that enhances light and balance.

Brushed nickel tapware, layered textures, and a soft neutral palette bring warmth and refinement to this modern Malvern East bathroom renovation. A true collaboration between designer Liz Staynor and builder Troy Freeman, the result is a beautifully resolved space that reflects the power of thoughtful design and craftsmanship.
