Hawthorn East Hastings

Built in the late 1800s, this double-fronted Victorian Hawthorn East home has been lovingly restored, with its tall ceilings and generous proportions providing the perfect canvas for transformation. Our clients reimagined a former bedroom as a luxurious parents’ bathroom — a private retreat designed for relaxation at the end of a busy day.

Like many heritage homes of its era, the room was far from square. To achieve a flawless finish, our build team constructed a “room within a room,” preserving the original architectural character while ensuring precision in every detail. Thoughtful spatial planning ensures the generous layout feels cohesive and inviting. Warm-toned tiles, a timber vanity, and soft paint hues create an earthy, day-spa feel, while the clients’ choice of a statement timber pendant light adds natural warmth and balance — the perfect finishing touch to this calm and restorative space.
