Our Balwyn client was ready to say goodbye to her dated mint-green kitchen and grey floor tiles. The existing layout lacked functionality and left too much space underutilised, making it difficult to cook and entertain comfortably. Wanting a modern, streamlined kitchen that could serve her family and visiting grandchildren, she engaged Simply Bathroom Solutions to create a warm, welcoming, and highly functional space.

The brief called for a new open-plan kitchen design that included a hidden butler’s pantry—perfect for keeping the main kitchen tidy during family gatherings—and new solid timber flooring throughout the home to add cohesion and warmth.

Simply Bathroom Solutions reimagined the kitchen layout to enhance flow and usability, ensuring every inch of space was put to good use. 

The design features rich Tasmanian Oak timber floors that infuse the home with natural warmth and character. Soft white cabinetry complements a striking khaki green island bench, which anchors the space as a central focal point. The island’s V12 groove-panelled doors and sleek push-to-open cabinetry on the reverse side provide discreet, functional storage for seldom-used items, blending beauty with practicality.

The kitchen is equipped with top-tier modern inclusions—an induction cooktop, Gaggenau wall oven, Billi tap, and concealed pull-out bins—delivering both performance and practicality. A full butler’s pantry sits neatly behind the main space, offering generous storage, prep space, and an area to manage washing up away from view.

The standout quartz benchtop, paired with carefully planned lighting, completes the transformation. The result is a timeless and sophisticated kitchen that effortlessly balances elegance and everyday function—designed and built by the Simply Bathroom Solutions team to meet the needs of a vibrant, growing family.
