Our clients sought a family bathroom renovation that would feel warm and welcoming for daily family use, while maintaining broad appeal. The colour palette was to remain consistent with the soft, neutral tones found throughout their Melbourne home, creating harmony from one space to the next. The main bathroom needed to work for busy teenagers and include ample storage.

During the design phase, it became clear that the main bathroom’s shower area had underutilised space. This provided the perfect opportunity to introduce a suspended bench seat, offering a place to rest and recharge. Visual texture was brought in through the use of a woven-pattern tile, adding subtle character and depth.

With limited wall space available, an innovative heated towel unit was selected for its compact design, fast-drying functionality, and programmable timer—enhancing comfort without compromising style. The storage problem in the previous bathroom was resolved with a custom-made wall-hung vanity with generous drawers and concealed power outlets for device charging. In the powder room renovation, a new wall-hung vanity was designed to complement the home’s existing finishes, incorporating a dedicated hand-towel rail and discreet storage for essentials

The bathroom sits on a concrete slab with structural brick walls, so the layout was carefully planned around existing conditions. This approach maintained efficiency and avoided unnecessary building works while ensuring a functional flow

Warm cream and beige tones, soft textures, and natural finishes tie both rooms together—resulting in a Melbourne bathroom renovation that feels contemporary, inviting, and beautifully resolved.
