Balwyn Bathroom Renovation

Positioned high on a hill overlooking the leafy streets of Balwyn, this double-storey timber home was originally built in the early 2000s. From the upstairs ensuite, a majestic gum tree frames the view — inspiring an earthy and luxurious material palette for the home’s three-bathroom renovations.

Our clients, a professional couple, wanted to create a refined and glamorous experience for visiting family and friends, ensuring each space felt indulgent while remaining harmonious with the rest of the home.

The main bathroom, designed primarily for guests, mirrors the elegant design language of the ensuite while introducing its own distinctive character. Deep green subway tiles, laid in a vertical grid, form a striking backdrop to the back-to-wall freestanding bath, complemented by gold Faucet Strommen N18 lever tapware.

A built-in bath niche offers practical storage and a place for guests to unwind with a book or tablet. Above the wall-hung vanity, a custom mirrored cabinet with open shelving and concealed LED lighting enhances both functionality and visual warmth.

Within the shower, a stone shelf provides additional depth for product storage, while an in-wall toilet cistern keeps the design clean and minimal. Together, these carefully considered details create a Balwyn bathroom renovation that blends natural textures, elegant finishes, and effortless sophistication.
