Removing Cooking Oil Stains
To remove a cooking oil stain, act promptly. Blot up excess oil with a soft, absorbent cloth—do not rub, as this will spread the stain. Prepare a poultice using MB Stone Care Poultice Powder (or a paste of baking soda and water if the MB product is unavailable).
Apply the poultice directly over the stain, cover with plastic wrap, and tape down the edges. Leave it for 24–48 hours, allowing the poultice to draw out the oil. Remove the poultice, rinse with MB-5 Spray Cleaner, and dry thoroughly.
Repeat as necessary until the stain is gone. Once clean, consider resealing the area with MB-24 or MB-21 for added protection.
Acid Etching Mark
For acid-etched marks on your honed natural stone, you’ll need an MB product for resurfacing, like a specific honing powder or a repair kit, as MB-11 is for polished stone and won’t match the matte finish; MB-14 Honing Powder or a Magic Renova Kitare likely candidates, but you must match the finish, so contacting MB Stone Care directly is best.
